The Most 'Immoral' Thing in America
"For all the chest beating and wailing and carrying on about the Obama administration's contraception mandate in the Affordable Care Act, you'd think that this country was embroiled in a coast to coast battle that pits a staunch moral majority against a small, active tide of unstoppable vaginas demanding sexual satisfaction and threatening the very fabric of society. But you'd be wrong."*
What do Americans find most "morally" wrong? Is it premarital sex? gay and lesbian relationships? pornography? Or is there some other evil the nation condemns even more. Cenk Uygur breaks down the Gallup poll's surprising results.

Fox News: Westboro Baptist Church is Left-Wing Cult
""Left-Wing Westboro Cult" — that's how Fox Nation categorized the Westboro Baptist Church, the notorious "independent" (hate) group that's notoriously been protesting funerals in Newtown of late. Fox used the description in a story about the funerals posted to its website last week, but it's getting passed around today. In honor of this Left-Wing Cult, we've collected visual evidence of Westboro's severe left-wing behavior to back up Fox News's bold assertion."*
The clowns at Fox News are at again. Now they're saying the loathsome Westboro Baptist Church is "left-wing" and Fred Phelps is "a democrat." Really? Since when are left-wingers fundamentalist? Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian set the record straight.

Racist? Serena Williams Responds to Impression
"Lying low in the offseason doesn't keep Serena Williams from making news.

CNBC Anchor Completely Flips Out Over Fiscal Cliff
"CNBC's Rick Santelli, no stranger to cable news shout-fests, went on a tirade this morning over the impending "fiscal cliff."
During a heated discussion about the impact going over the "cliff" could have on the stock market, Santelli became irate when his CNBC colleague and trader Jim Iuorio suggested the damage wouldn't be as severe as others predict."*
CNBC anchor Rick Santelli completely lost it when a colleague suggested fiscal cliff damage might not be as horrible as they think. "I''d like to see if he could count to a million!" shouted Santelli about Geithner. Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz (Host, Turner Classic Movies) and John Iadarola (Host, TYT University) discuss whether the crazed rant is really necessary.

Are Most Mass Murderers Privileged White Men?
"CNN panelist David Sirota and writer at Salon.com told Don Lemon Saturday that we need to "explore" the question of why so many recent mass killings were committed by white men. "I'm not saying we should racially profile white guys," he said, but suggested that had the shooters been "Arabs" or "African-American men", we'd be having a "very different conversation" in this country."*
It's a conversation many people have asked: what if the gunman in the Newtown gun massacre had been black? or Arab? Why are there no generalized labels like "thug" or "terrorist" applied when a white male commits such a heinous killing?" CNN posed the question, in light of most recent mass shooters falling into the demographic. Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz (Host, Turner Classic Movies), and John Iadarola (Host, TYT University) continue the conversation.

Porn Stars Asks Fans for Semen Jars

Dick Armey's Armed Tea Party Coup
"The day after Labor Day, just as campaign season was entering its final frenzy, FreedomWorks, the Washington-based tea party organization, went into free fall.
Richard K. Armey, the group's chairman and a former House majority leader, walked into the group's Capitol Hill offices with his wife, Susan, and an aide holstering a handgun at his waist. The aim was to seize control of the group and expel Armey's enemies: The gun-wielding assistant escorted FreedomWorks' top two employees off the premises, while Armey suspended several others who broke down in sobs at the news."*

Fox News' Insulting Advice to Female Gun Violence Victims
"Appearing on Fox News Wednesday evening, Dana Perino suggested female victims of violence should "make better decisions" in order to escape harm.
The comment came during a discussion about the murder of 22-year-old Kasandra Perkins, who was killed by her boyfriend, NFL player Jovan Belcher. On Saturday, Belcher shot his girlfriend repeatedly, and then drove to the Kansas City Chiefs' facility, where he killed himself."*
On the topic of Jovan Belcher's murder-suicide with his girlfriend Cassandra Perkins, Fox News made some pretty terrible takeaways. Dana Perkins said women in violent or threatening domestic situations should "make better decisions" while Greg Gutfeld said they should carry guns, like the "millions" of people who do successfully. Sperm Study: Why Are Counts So Low!?
"The sperm count of French men fell by a third between 1989 and 2005, a study suggests.
The semen of more than 26,600 French men was tested in the study, reported in the journal Human Reproduction.
The number of millions of spermatozoa per millilitre fell by 32.3%, a rate of about 1.9% a year. And the percentage of normally shaped sperm fell by 33.4%.
The average sperm count remained within the fertile range, but experts want to see more research into possible causes."*

Is Sex Addiction Real?
A few months before their wedding, David Prior (not his real name) told his fiancée Sue his biggest secret. Although the couple had a good sex life, and were committed to a future together, he was addicted to visiting prostitutes.
Perhaps surprisingly, the wedding went ahead. "I was horribly shocked, but I thought that with some therapy he'd get over it," says Sue, 42. Fifteen years and two children on, the couple are still together -- but David's sex addiction, too, is with him still. "I don't think we could possibly have imagined that it would be as long-term, or as difficult, as it has been," says Sue."*

Walmart Sells Out of Guns, Bans 'Dangerous' Products
"With President Barack Obama endorsing sweeping gun restrictions in the wake of the school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, prices for handgun magazines are surging on EBay and semi-automatic rifles are sold out at many Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

The Happiest People on The Planet
"The world's happiest people aren't in Qatar, the richest country by most measures. They aren't in Japan, the nation with the highest life expectancy. Canada, with its chart-topping percentage of college graduates, doesn't make the top 10.
A poll released Wednesday of nearly 150,000 people around the world says seven of the world's 10 countries with the most upbeat attitudes are in Latin America.
Many of the seven do poorly in traditional measures of well-being, like Guatemala, a country torn by decades of civil war followed by waves of gang-driven criminality that give it one of the highest homicide rates in the world. Guatemala sits just above Iraq on the United Nations' Human Development Index, a composite of life expectancy, education and per capita income. But it ranks seventh in positive emotions."*

Tim Scott and GOP Mental Health Hypocrisy

Mosque Arsonist Says Fox News Inspired Him
"The propaganda on America's "Fair & Balanced" newsroom, Fox News, must be quite effective. Randall Linn, an Indiana man who pled guilty to setting a fire in a mosque, told the court that the reason for his shenanigans was that he got "riled up" as a result of watching Fox News.

Box ScoreWASHINGTON, D.C. – Bowie State University surrendered a 17-point second half lead but scored the final four points, which included a buzzer-beating, go-ahead layup by senior Najee White to lift the Bulldogs to a thrilling, 73-71 non-conference road victory. With the win, Bowie State has won four of its last five games to set their record at 4-5 to end the first half of the season. PHOTOS
The Bulldogs were once again paced by senior Byron Westmorland with 23 points. White recorded his second career-double, adding a game and career-high 16 rebounds. Fellow senior Dameatric Scott contributed 16 points and junior Ray Gatling accounted for nine points to go along with a personal season-high four rebounds and a team-high five assists.
Leading the way for the Firebirds were D'Angelo Johnson, Ziad Ashaway and Florent Pontens with 16, 13 and 11 points respectively. Ashaway tied for team-high rebound honors (seven) with Keith Brooks.
“We're really a work in progress and we always expect things to be hard on the road”, said a rather relieved fourth-year head coach Darrell Brooks. Of Bowie State's nine games so far this season, eight have been on the road. “We had a comfortable lead early and played well in the first half. However, in the second half, we had a let done defensively and on the glass allowing them to get back into the game.
UDC (1-7) held a four point advantage twice early in the game until Westmorland drilled a deep 3-pointer followed by a steal and layup by Scott gave the Bulldogs a 17-13 advantage, forcing a Firebirds timeout.
The Firebirds charged back to regain the lead at 22-20 on a traditional 3-point play by Johnson at the 9:55 mark. The lead would change hands 11 times in the first half but the Bulldogs closed out the final 4:06 with a 15-2 run and a 45-32 lead at intermission.
Bowie State shot 51.4 percent in the first half on 18-of-35 shooting, which included 7-of-15 beyond the arc. The Bulldogs defense held the University of D.C. to 12-of-36 shooting (33.3 percent) in the first period.
UDC made a big run to pull within three (53-51) at the 14:19 mark of the second half, but the Bulldogs countered with back-to-back triples by Westmorland and a White layup gave Bowie State a little breathing room at 61-51.
A 3-point bucket by UDC's Michael Terry closed the Firebirds deficit to just two (67-65) and a breakaway dunk by Johnson knotted the game at 67-67 with 7:11 remaining. Brooks made one of two free throws to give the Firebirds their first lead since 30-29 in the first half.
A pair of free throws by Bowie State's Gatling created the games third and final tie, this time at 71-71 with 1:44 left in regulation.
BSU's Westmorland blocked a sure Firebirds' layup by Ashaway, setting up one last opportunity for the Bulldogs. With .2 seconds to play Bowie State's Carlos Smith had his short jumper blocked but the rebound and stick back by White lifted the Bulldogs to the victory.
Bowie State will be idle for the next 21 days before returning to action Thursday (January 3) opening conference play at home against Livingstone College. Tip time for the Blue Bears and Bulldogs is 7:30 pm in BSU's A.C. Jordan Arena.

ESPN Anchor: Robert Griffin III Not Black Enough
"On Thursday's episode of ESPN's First Take, Rob Parker, a former Detroit News columnist, questioned Robert Griffin III's blackness.
"Is he a brother, or is he a cornball brother?" Parker asked.
His inquiry continued.
"He's black, he kind of does his thing, but he's not really down with the cause; he's not one of us," Parker said. "He's kind of black, but he's not really the kind of guy you want to hang out with 'cause he's off to something else."*
ESPN anchor Rob Parker questioned Washington Redskins' star player Robert Griffin III's "blackness." What's a cornball brother? Being a Republican and a white fiance makes someone not black anymore? Why does Parker think this is his business? Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, and Ben Mankiewicz (Host, Turner Classic Movies) breaks it down.

Fox News: Karl Rove, Dick Morris Banned?
"Gabriel Sherman of New York magazine reports this evening that Karl Rove and Dick Morris sightings are about to become scarce on Fox News.
Fox News sources told Sherman that Rove and Morris — who, respectively, questioned on air whether Ohio would go for President Obama even after the network's decision desk called the race for the president, and predicted a Romney landslide — are heading to the sidelines, on orders from Roger Ailes."*
Cenk Uygur analyzes Fox News' move to sideline Karl Rove and Dick Morris from the air. Is this an attempt to be "fair and balanced?" Then why didn't they make the move before the elections?

UDC's Janelle Junior led all scorers with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field (3-of-7 from behind-the-arc) and 3-of-4 from the foul line. Denikka Brent was also a major offensive force with 17 points and eight rebounds. Tajruba Baldwin-Kollore added eight points while Robin Keke pulled down a team-best nine rebounds.

Junior and Baldwin-Kollore led the way with six points apiece during that stretch. But back came Bowie State, as sophomore Bria Robinson scored five points to lead the Bulldogs on a 10-0 run to cut the Firebird lead to seven with just under four minutes left to play in the half. That seven point margin would stick with the District of Columbia heading into halftime with a 28-21 lead.
In the second half, the Firebird lead hovered between four and nine points for the majority of the second half until UDC blew the game open with a 21-6 outburst over the final 8:26. Clinging to a 39-34 lead after a pair of free-throws by BSU seniorJasmine Jacobs, Robin Keke scored the next three consecutive points followed by a layup by Teara Shaw to quickly up the Firebirds lead to 10 with a little over six minutes left to play. Junior and Brent then combined for 16 points, including the final six points of the afternoon.
The University of the District of Columbia held a 40-percent to 21-percent field goal shooting advantage and fared much better, 42-percent (5-of-12) to 15-percent (3-of-20) from three-point range. The Firebirds also held a 43-37 rebounding edge and more than doubled-up the Bulldogs in points in the paint, 24-10.
Bowie State will look to start a new winning streak next Tuesday (December 4), hosting the Lady Pioneers of Glenville State College at 6 pm. Glenville State will enter the contest with a 5-1 overall record and winners of the last three in a row, including a 92-68 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan (12/1).

Porn Stars Have Higher Self Esteem? [Study]
"The stereotype that female porn stars are "damaged goods" who have experienced sexual abuse as a child is inaccurate, according to a new study. In fact, porn actresses have higher levels of self-esteem, positive feelings, social support, sexual satisfaction and spirituality, according to the study "Pornography Actresses: An Assessment of the Damaged Goods Hypothesis." via Huffington Post. Watch the video and find out what John Iadarola and Lisa Ferguson think on TYT University!
What do you think about this study? Does this change the way you see porn stars? Do you find it hard to believe they actually have higher levels of self esteem? How do you think you'd respond to a career in porn? Let us know what you think down below!

Republicans Flip Flop on Medicare
"The austerity crisis talks have hit a peculiar impasse. The problem isn't, as most analysts expected, taxes, where Republicans seem increasingly resigned to new revenue. It's Medicare. And the particular Medicare problem isn't that Democrats are refusing the GOP's proposed Medicare cuts. It's that Republicans are refusing to name their Medicare cuts.
Politico quotes a "top Democratic official" who paints the picture simply: "Rob Nabors [the White House negotiator], has been saying: 'This is what we want on revenues on the down payment. What's your guys' ask on the entitlement side?' And they keep looking back at us and saying: 'We want you to come up with that and pitch us.' That's not going to happen."
That's partly politics. If nothing else, Republicans are respectful of Medicare's political potency. Recall that a core Republican message in both the 2010 and 2012 elections was that Democrats, through Obamacare, were cutting Medicare too much. Republicans, already concerned about their brand, don't want to rebrand themselves as the party of Medicare cuts."*
Before the 2012 election season, Mitt Romney and Republicans denounced Obama, saying he would cut Medicare by too much! Now, during fiscal cliff negotiations, the GOP has changed its tune, saying Medicare MUST be cut down. Which is it, and why? Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola (Host, TYT University), and Mark Thompson (TV Host) break it down.

Middle Eastern Men Getting Moustache Transplants
"Thick, handsome mustaches have long been prized by men throughout the Middle East as symbols of masculine virility, wisdom and maturity.
But not all mustaches are created equal, and in recent years, increasing numbers of Middle Eastern men have been going under the knife to attain the perfect specimen.
Turkish plastic surgeon Selahattin Tulunay says the number of mustache implants he performs has boomed in the last few years. He now performs 50-60 of the procedures a month, on patients who hail mostly from the Middle East and travel to Turkey as medical tourists."*
Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian discuss moustache transplants' surging popularity in the Middle East, particularly in Turkey. Is it really such a faux pas for men not to have thick moustaches? Cenk still isn't so sure.

Desjarlais: Hypocritical Backtrack on Abortions, Mistresses
"Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-TN), the former physician turned anti-abortion Tennessee Republican congressman, says he hadn't given abortion as much thought as he "should have" when he supported his first wife's decisions to have two abortions, and that he often used "very poor judgment" during his first marriage and the separation that followed it.
He now looks back with regret, he says, on the sexual relationships he had with two patients, three co-workers and a drug company representative while he was chief of staff at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper."*
Pro-lifer Rep. Scott Desjarlais gave his wife and mistresses the choice to get abortions, but he wants to take that right away from women he isn't having sex with? Cenk Uygur breaks down Desjarlais' comments on his hypocritical actions; he says his views have "evolved."

Bought Climate Change Denier Heads Science Committee?!?
"Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), a skeptic of man-made global warming, is set to take over the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology in the 113th Congress.
On Tuesday afternoon, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) announced that the Republican Steering Committee had recommended Smith as the new chairman. The full House GOP caucus will vote on all chairmanships Wednesday and is expected to ratify the steering panel's choices."
We thought Ralph Hall would be the end of laughably inappropriate leaders chairing the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology. Wrong. Lamar Smith, a climate change denier is taking over. Do you think he's influenced by the money he received from Koch Industries and the oil and gas industries?

Romney Advisor Brags: We Won Wealthier, White Votes
Mitt Romney may have lost the 2012 election, but if you ask his top advisor Stuart Stevens, the former Massachusetts governor has nothing to sulk about.
Writing in the Washington Post , Stevens bragged that Romney's ability to win over middle class voters was the real victory earlier this month.
"On Nov. 6, Mitt Romney carried the majority of every economic group except those with less than $50,000 a year in household income," Stevens wrote. "That means he carried the majority of middle class voters. While John McCain lost white voters under 30 by 10 points, Romney won those voters by seven points, a 17-point shift."*
Cenk Uygur breaks down Romney Advisor Stuart Stevens boasting that the GOP had won more votes from people from households earning above 50k/year and young white voters. What is the subtext here? Are voters not in those categories less worthy to brag about getting? Does this go back to Republican pundits whining about "non traditional" voters upsetting the race?

Disappointed Dad's Letter Goes Viral
"A retired British naval officer's scathing email to his three adult children about his bitter and frustrating disappointment in all of them has gone viral with its eloquence and biting honesty.
Nick Crews, 67, of Plymouth, England, sent the letter to his two daughters and son to express his deep disappointment in them and their life choices.
"We are constantly regaled with chapter and verse of the happy, successful lives of the families of our friends and relatives and being asked of news of our own children and grandchildren," Crews wrote. "I wonder if you realise [sic] how we feel — we have nothing to say which reflects any credit on you or us."
He criticized them for failed marriages, lack of maturity and their inability to provide for their families."*
Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur discuss the "shit o gram" Nick Crews, 67, of Plymouth, England sent to his 3 adult children. We don't know what happened in the family, but is Crews justified in sending the letter, or is he going to far? Would you send a similar letter to your kids if you were disappointed in their lives?
